Welcome

Rattlesden Baptist Church is a small village church with a great heart for the community in Rattlesden and the surrounding villages.

We believe that the Bible is the true word of God, written by many humans under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We believe that it is relevant today. We hold it to be the governance in the way we live our lives and the sole authority in matters of faith, belief, conduct, practice and discipline.

We’re a very friendly congregation, numbering around 20 people at each Sunday service (morning and evening). Our services are a mix of old and new hymns with Bible readings, prayers and a sermon. Service times are 10.30am and 6.30pm. Currently we are unable to offer Sunday School but we have activities and toys for children in adjacent rooms during the morning service. During the 2020 – 2022 pandemic our weekly activities were all suspended. However, some of these have now recommenced – see our Activities page. When Sunday School and children’s/youth meetings are operating, all teachers, children’s and young people’s group leaders are DBS (formerly CRB) checked. We follow all the guidelines of Thirtyone:eight (formerly known as the Churches Child Protection Advisory Service).

Our chapel is situated on Felsham Road, Rattlesden IP30 0SF and there is a free car park with ample space for visitors and congregation. Come and join us – you can be sure of a warm welcome.

This website, like us, is an ongoing work for the Lord. We aim to update and improve it on a regular basis.
